Antti Ahoniemi Trio, established in 2025, plays mostly original tunes. The trio constructs lively sets brought to life by the expressiveness of its members. Soprano saxophone, double bass and drums combine with percussions to provide an open sound which expands to different directions within the varied tradition of swinging music.

Siina Suutarinen is a singer, composer and pianist established on the Finnish jazz scene, now building an international career with her English-language music. Known for her soft, distinctive vocal sound — often compared to Diana Krall — Suutarinen performs with her band Super Sonic at jazz festivals and clubs in Finland and abroad in 2026. At Kori Jazz, the band's second soloist is saxophonist Oona Mattsson, bringing her own fresh, dynamic style. This time Suutarinen also plays synth bass, making this a hybrid lineup you won't want to miss!

Super Sonic blends vocal-driven jazz with a modern, partly electronic band sound, aiming to bring jazz closer to audiences and cross genre lines in an accessible way.

Mubba & The Afrotan is a trans-nation music project led by a Tanzanian composer and a bandleader Mubba. The project brings together musicians from Africa, Italy, Chile and Finland forming a live ensemble that reflects the realities of contemporary global culture. The band fuses Tanzania and broader African rhythms and melodies with jazz improvisation developed in Finland creating a new musical expression through collaborative composition and performance.

Sound artist Kadi Vija and keyboard player Nikita Rafaelov bring to the stage an intimate and curious story of family, love and about looking or seeing in another way. “Tiny Hands Gathering Wonder, The World Becomes Magic” tells a story of Teppo, who is born into an LGBTQ+ family – this isn’t childhood fiction but poetry about the mundane, where the world takes shape from a slightly different angle. The album, which won both the Emma and Indie Award for Jazz of the Year, was produced by the renowned drummer/producer Teppo Mäkynen and was released by the Tampere based Mustik Motel Music in October 2025.

Musically the piece revolves around experimental electronic art and indie-style delicateness akin to Radiohead and Björk. The sound is layered and atmospheric – like the thought of a child: a little crooked but right where it should be. On the stage, Kadi and Nikita create a soundscape where the spectator can listen, ask, and be themselves.
